ABOUT US

About Emmanuel Baptist Church

EBC is a great-commission church (Matthew 28:18–20). According to Jesus, a great-commission church is a disciple-making church—a church that not only calls all people to faith in Christ, but also matures people in their faith.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Where do I go?

Enter through the Worship Center Entrance doors and into our Worship Center. To the right will be our Connections Desk. One of our Connections Desk workers will be able to assist you in finding your way around our facility. See the map below for a frame of reference.

What’s the service like?

As you enter through our Worship Center Entrance, you will be welcomed by a member of our Greeting Team. As you pass you through the Worship Center doors, one of our Ushers will hand you a bulletin and, if desired, help you find a seat. A typical EBC service opens with Scripture reading followed by a congregational song. A member of our leadership team will welcome those in attendance as he talks through opportunities to be involved in our church (make sure to raise your hand for a welcome bag). One of our elders will come up to pray, which is followed by our offering. This will be followed by songs led by our Musical Worship Team (find out what we’re singing that Sunday by clicking HERE).

One of our pastors will then preach (using the New American Standard Bible) through a particular passage of Scripture (sermons are typically 40-45 minutes in length), making application from that particular text. We’ll close our service with a song and Scripture as we start our week.

If you would like to know more about EBC before you leave, fill out the card in your welcome bag and take it to the Connections Desk. We’d love to get to know you!

How long is the service?

Our service typically lasts one hour and fifteen minutes.

What about kids?

Jubilee Junction (our Children’s Ministry Wing) is fully staffed for the 9:00 AM Equipping Hour and 10:30 AM Worship Service. We also offer a feed of the 10:30 AM service in our Fireside Room (right off the Worship Center).

How do people normally dress?

We’re a multi-generational church, so you’ll find folks wearing every-day clothes, suits and dresses, and everything in between.

Where can I park?

We have reserved parking spots for visitors closest to our entry doors. Make sure to show up early since these fill up fast!

What about mid-week programs?

“Wednesday Nights” take place September through Mid-April.

For kids (age 3 thru 6th grade), we have a Bible-memory program called AWANA. AWANA also includes games, and a short music and teaching time. 6th graders are given the option of going to Youth Group or staying in AWANA. When you come to check in your kids for AWANA, enter through the office doors. Our AWANA Secretary will be located at a small table and can give you more info about registration, where to take your kids, where your kids get picked up, etc. Currently, AWANA is full until we get more volunteers.

Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers (9th – 12th grade) meet in our Student Center (across the parking lot along College Way) for Youth Group. During youth group, our students play games, sing, listen to a message from the Bible, and finish in a small group time (grade/gender segregated).

We have classes for adults that focus on various topics related to the Christian life. You are welcome to jump in at any time!

"We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct."
