ABOUT US

About Emmanuel Baptist Church

EBC is a great-commission church (Matthew 28:18–20). According to Jesus, a great-commission church is a disciple-making church — a church that not only calls all people to faith in Christ, but also helps people to mature in their faith.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Where Do I Go Once I Arrive?

Enter through the Worship Center entrance doors and into our Worship Center. Our Connections Desk is located to the right. One of our EBC members will be able to assist you in finding your way around our facility. See the map below for a frame of reference.

What Is The Church Service Like?

As you enter the church building through our Worship Center entrance, you will be welcomed by a member of our Greeting Team. Upon entering the Worship Center, one of our friendly ushers will hand you a bulletin and, if desired, help you to find a seat. A typical EBC service opens with Scripture reading, followed by a congregational song. A member of our leadership team will welcome those in attendance as he explains opportunities to be involved in our church.

We encourage newcomers to fill out the Connections Card that is found in the bulletin and take it to the Connections Desk, where we have a gift waiting for them. One of our elders will provide a morning prayer, which is followed by our offering. We then sing songs as a congregation, which are led by our Musical Worship Team (You can find out what we are singing that Sunday by clicking HERE).

Next, one of our pastors will preach through a particular passage of Scripture (sermons are typically 40-45 minutes in length), making application from that particular text. We will finally close our service with a song and benediction from Scripture as we prepare to head out for the week.

If you would like to know more about EBC before you leave, please take a moment to connect with one of our members at the Connections Desk. We would love a chance to introduce ourselves to you, as well as get to know you better!

How Long Is The Service?

Our church service typically lasts one hour and fifteen minutes.

What Is Available For My Kids?

Our Children’s Ministry Wing, known as Jubilee Junction, is fully staffed for the 9:00 AM Equipping Hour and 10:30 AM Worship Service. We also offer a live feed of the 10:30 AM service in our smaller Fireside Room (located off of the Worship Center).

How Do People Typically Dress At EBC?

We are a multi-generational church, so you will regularly find our members wearing everyday clothes, suits and dresses, as well as everything in between.

Where Can I Park?

We have reserved parking spots for our visitors, which are located closest to our entry doors. Make sure to show up early since these tend to fill up the quickest!

Are There Any Mid-Week Programs?

Our “Wednesday Nights” take place from September through Mid-April.

For kids (age 3 thru 6th grade), we have a Bible-memory program called AWANA. This midweek event includes games, as well as a brief music and teaching time. Sixth graders are given the option of heading off to Youth Group or remaining in AWANA. When you come to check in your kids, please enter through the office doors of the main building. Our AWANA Secretary will be located at a small table and can help you with registration, direct you to where you can drop off your kids, show you where your kids can be picked up, and other important information.

Middle Schoolers (6th – 8th grade) and High Schoolers (9th – 12th grade) regularly meet for Youth Group in our Student Center, which is located across the EBC parking lot, alongside College Way. During their meeting time, students play games, sing, listen to a message from the Bible, and finish in a small group time (grade/gender segregated).

We also have classes for adults that focus on various topics related to the Christian life. You are welcome to jump in at any time! We would love to have you join us.

"We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct."
